'The Blackie' (Award)

AWARD OBJECTIVE 
To recognise and celebrate funny and entertaining radio excellence, 'a golden moment of radio'.

AWARD DESCRIPTION 
Open to an on-air broadcaster(s) during the award period that can show one great moment that epitomises entertaining radio.  This could include (but is not limited to), a parody, a prank call, a video or something that made the nation laugh out loud.

AUDIO REQUIREMENT
• Audio duration maximum is 10 minutes - in the main this will be one voice break but there may be examples of a rolling saga.

WRITTEN REQUIREMENTS
A short description should be included (no more than 500 words) describing the background to the broadcast and why it had significant impact.

NOTE - Video uploads will be allowed for this category.  Duration is to be no longer than 2 minutes (approx 20MB). Edited highlights videos can be created for your radio award entry, but any filmed footage included in them must be from the original and not re-created.

Date and time of broadcast should be included.

Entry Requirements
A
10 Points

Audio evidence of the broadcasts specialness. This will show effectiveness in entertaining the audience.

Quality of the audio and how well the talent interacts (if more than one).

10 Points

How original was the broadcast idea and the quality of its execution.

5 Points

Explain how the idea was conceived and executed and cite examples of its impact.
