AWARD OBJECTIVE
• To recognise outstanding talent and/or promise in those new to the radio broadcasting industry specialising in on air presentation.
AWARD DESCRIPTION
This award is made to a new broadcaster who displays an outstanding ability to engage, inform and entertain their target.
REQUIREMENTS
1. A written submission of no more than 600 words.
2. A letter from the station manager confirming that entrant has not yet completed 2 years full-time employment in New Zealand broadcasting. Note that internship is not deemed to be part of this period but those whose service includes previous overseas experience in radio or New Zealand experience in television are not eligible.
3. A maximum of 10 minutes broadcast audio.
4. Provide:
• Marketing material directly related to your work
• Evidence of major achievements during the year
• Evidence of multi-tasking, innovative or proactive approaches.
• Letters of affidavits of support
• Press Clippings
• Ratings Information (where available)
