Iwi Station of the Year

For Iwi radio stations.

AWARD OBJECTIVE
• To recognise excellence in radio broadcasting in New Zealand.
• To encourage and enhance the overall quality of the New Zealand radio industry.
• To reward radio networks or individual stations for outstanding performances against stated objectives.

AWARD DESCRIPTION
These awards are made to the networks or radio stations who have shown evidence of outstanding performance over the period covered by the awards.

AUDIO REQUIREMENTS
• Audio of a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
• Music must be telescoped.

WRITTEN REQUIREMENTS
Written submissions should not exceed 800 words but may be supported by additional letters and branding material.

BROADCAST OUTPUT
Audio evidence of the network or radio stations effectiveness with its target audience. As well as Maori language quality and effectiveness, this could include entertainment, information and education values, client effectiveness, community involvement, news and current affairs, personality strength, promotions and marketing.

DEMONSTRATION OF STATION EFFECTIVENESS
• Statement of objectives - a concise statement of what the station is trying to achieve and its target audience.

• Description of the growth and development of the station. Maori language strategies utilised.

• Additional written material that may include marketing and promotional material, press examples of community involvement and client effectiveness.

BUSINESS PERFORMANCE / COST-RATIO ACHIEVEMENT
Description of the level of efficiency achieved with the funding or client funds the station works with.
