For outstanding all-round excellence in radio sports journalism.
 
AWARD OBJECTIVE
• To recognise individual excellence in the broadcasting of sport on radio in New Zealand
• To recognise excellence in sports journalism and the on-air presentation of sport for radio broadcast.

AWARD DESCRIPTION
This award is made to an individual broadcasting professional who contributes to the presentation of sport on radio in New Zealand.

AUDIO REQUIREMENT
• Audio duration maximum is 12 minutes.
• Entry must contain a range of stories (minimum of 3)
• Contents, date and duration of each story must be listed.

WRITTEN REQUIREMENT
A written statement about how you perceive your role as a sports journalist and what you are trying to project through your approach. Written submissions must not exceed 600 words.

Entry Requirements
A
10 Points

Journalistic endeavour, including the difficulty of the topic. The entry must provide a real sense of the journalistic endeavour used to inform listeners.

Immediacy, Originality, Effectiveness and the depth and accuracy of coverage.

10 Points

Use of Audio.

D
5 Points

A written statement about how you perceive your role as a sports journalist and what you are trying to project through your approach.
