ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2010 AWARDS

Entries are now being called for the 2010 New Zealand Radio Awards. The 2010 awards mark the launch of a new online entry process which is designed simplify the preparation of entries and dramatically reduce the required entry fee.

To enter the 2010 awards entrants will be required to register as a user on the Radio Awards website and follow an easy step by step process for submitting an entry. The entire entry process can be viewed prior to submitting an entry making it easy for potential entrants to familiarize themselves with the new process.

The 2010 awards include twelve new awards which will honour talent in previously unrecognized areas. These include four new Best New Broadcaster Craft Group Awards, Best Talk Back Host or Hosts, Best Sports Journalist, Best Commercial/Imaging Voice Talent, Iwi Station of The Year, Sales Teams of the Year and the Best Spoken / Informational Programme in English and Non-English Languages.

The awards presentation will also be in a new format. An online video broadcast presentation will be available for viewing by the entire industry and interested members of the public, allowing greater exposure of the awards.

Entries for the 2010 Awards are now open and will close 1st March. The winners will be announced on the 6th of May 2010 when it is hoped that the radio family literally from Kaitaia to Invercargill will be able to have their own Awards party to watch the show.
